From private lessons to mentally stimulating courses we work hard to not only provide obedience to your fur baby but also help provide an outlet for their energy, both mentally and physically. In our private lessons, we focus on basic obedience along with behavior modification for problematic behaviors. We offer trailing and scent detection to help mentally stimulate high-driven dogs to help with an outlet for them.
We also offer Behavior Modification. Behavior Modification is working with your dog to decrease an undesired behavior. Biting, jumping, unwanted barking and other destructive behaviors. Behaviors can be caused by different reasons. Determining the reason behind the behavior is critical. If diagnosed wrong, the behavior will more than likely worsen. Behavior Modification is something that usually cannot be addressed in normal private lessons. We offer a free consultation for these cases to help understand what is going on with your pet. At the consultation: we will assess your pet, diagnosis them, give you a summary of our recommendations and pricing.
Private Lessons- Basic Obedience
Includes 6 one- hour lessons in 6 weeks. Lessons are customized to your schedule. Alterations to the commands can be discussed.

Private Lessons- Advanced Obedience
Includes 8 one-hour lessons in 8 weeks. Where your dog will learn off-leash commands and e-collar training. Lessons are customized to your schedule. Alterations to the commands can be discussed. Owners provide the e-collar of their choosing. If you have questions on which e-collar to invest in feel free to call us and ask questions.

Free Consultation
Scent Work Course
Beginner: Starting September 21st at 9am
This course teaches your dog to use their nose to locate a particular odor. We will be using a variety of essential oils that are pet-friendly. Scent work provides mental stimulation for your dog while teaching them a new skill. Scent work can be done in a variety of locations.
You will learn about olfaction and how it applies to scent work, how to imprint your dog and build their alert.
Your dog MUST be current on all vaccines to participate in this course.
Equipment needed for the course:
Flat collar
6ft leash
High-value reward (food/toy)
Ragnar Defense will provide the equipment for the scent work.
No dog is too big or small! Dogs must be 8 months old or older.
After completion of the Beginner course, an Intermediate course will be offered.

Trailing/SAR Course
Beginner: Starting on May 17TH, 2025
Advanced: Starting on May 17TH, 2025
This course consists of the basics of trailing, odor theory, and the principles of training a trailing dog. You will learn how to handle and read your dog's behavior while trailing.
Trailing is both mentally and physically stimulating for your dog. It is also a fun way to build confidence in you as a handler and create a working bond with your dog.
Your dog MUST be current on all vaccines to participate in this course.
Equipment needed for the course:
Flat collar
Harness
Longline
High-value reward (food/toy)
Ragnar Defense can provide harnesses and longlines for an additional cost. ($50)
At the end of the course, you and your dog will be able to trail a 10-15 minute warm trail or more.
No dog is too big or small! Dogs must be 6 months old or older.
After completion of the Beginner course, an Advanced course will be offered.
